For increased security, we recommend that you use our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) servers as detailed below.
NOTE: If your internal system configurations require non-SSL ports, see the Email Server Settings page for our full list of available servers and ports.
To set up Outlook Express for IMAP, perform the following steps:
1. In Outlook Express, click Tools > Accounts.
2. Click Add, and select Mail from the resulting menu.
3. Enter your first and last name. This is the name that will appear in the From field of messages you send.
4. Click Next.
5. Enter your entire email address (for example, myname@mydomain.com).
6. Click Next.
7. Click the My incoming mail server is a list, and select IMAP.
8. Enter the following:
· Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP, or HTTP) server—Enter the secure server name:
secure.emailsrvr.com
· Outgoing mail (SMTP) server—Enter the secure server name:
secure.emailsrvr.com
9. Click Next.
10. In the Account name field, enter your entire email address (for example, myname@mydomain.com).
11. In the Password field, enter the password for your email account.
12. If you want Outlook to check for email without prompting you to enter your password, select the Remember password check box.
13. Leave the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) field blank, and click Next.
14. Click Finish.
15. In the Internet Accounts window, select the email account that you just created, and click Properties.
16. Click the Servers tab.
17. The Log on using Secure Password Authentication field should not be checked.
18. Select the My server requires authentication check box.
19. Click Settings.
20. Be sure that the Use same settings as my incoming mail server button is selected.
21. Click OK.
22. Click the Advanced tab.
23. Select the first This server requires a secure connection (SSL) check box.
24. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) field, enter the secure outgoing port: 465
25. Select the second This server requires a secure connection (SSL) check box.
26. In the Incoming mail (IMAP) field, enter the secure incoming server port: 993
27. Click OK.
28. Click Close.
To set up Outlook Express for POP, perform the following steps:
1. In Outlook Express, click Tools > Accounts.
2. Click Add, and select Mail from the resulting menu.

6. Click Next.

8. Enter the following:

· Outgoing mail (SMTP) server—Enter the secure server name:
secure.emailsrvr.com
9. Click Next.
10. In the Account name field, enter your entire email address (for example, myname@mydomain.com).
11. In the Password field, enter the password for your email account.
12. If you want Outlook to check for email without prompting you to enter your password, select the Remember password check box.
13. Leave the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) check box blank, and click Next.
14. Click Finish.
15. In the Internet Accounts window, select the email account that you just created, and click Properties.
16. Click the Servers tab.
17. The Log on using Secure Password Authentication check box should not be selected.
18. Select the My server requires authentication check box.
19. Click Settings.
20. Be sure that the Use same settings as my incoming mail server button is selected.
21. Click OK.
22. Click the Advanced tab.
23. Select the first This server requires a secure connection (SSL) check box.
24. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) field, enter the secure outgoing port: 465
25. Select the second This server requires a secure connection (SSL) check box.
26. In the Incoming mail (POP3) field, enter the secure incoming server port: 995
27. A POP connection typically removes the email messages from the email server after you have downloaded new messages to your computer. If you would like to leave copies on the server, select the Leave a copy of messages on server check box. To avoid exceeding your account’s storage limits, indicate whether the server should delete messages after a certain number of days and/or delete messages when you manually delete them from the Deleted Items folder.
28. Click OK.
29. Click Close.
